Who We Are
The Manufacturers Alliance of New York State, Inc. (The Manufacturers Alliance) is an alliance of manufacturing associations and area manufacturing councils partnered to advocate for manufacturing and to provide and share services that help manufacturers in New York State grow.
Our History
There is an old saying there is strength in numbers. The Manufacturers Alliance was created on this philosophy. To fill a need for statewide advocacy for manufacturers, MACNY, the Manufacturers Association partnered with the Council of Industry (COI) in 2006 to form the Manufacturers Alliance of New York. Since then, the Chief Executive Network for Manufacturing of the Capitol Region (CEN), the Long Island Forum for Technology (LIFT), the Manufacturers Association for the Southern Tier (MAST) and the IMA Management Group, Inc. (IMA) have all joined the Manufacturers Alliance. Collectively, the Alliance represents 45 counties and over 1,000 manufacturers and businesses from across the State.
What We Do
Manufacturers have survived throughout the years based on their resiliency and ability to adapt to their environment. New York State manufacturing has become stronger and more efficient as a result of it. As New York State manufacturers continue to do their part in adapting to remain competitive, government entities must do their share as well. The way New York State treats in manufacturers in years to come will hold significant influence on the future status of the state’s manufacturing sector, and the economic vitality of our state as a whole. In our united front through the Manufacturers Alliance, we continue our work with New York State elected officials, both on the State and Federal level, to support policies that will allow manufacturers the opportunity to sustain and grow their business.
About the Alliance

Since then, the Chief Executive Network for Manufacturing of the Capitol Region (CEN), the Long Island Forum for Technology (LIFT), the Manufacturers Association for the Southern Tier (MAST), and the IMA have all joined the Alliance. The Alliance unites knowledge, purchasing power, and voices to help New York’s manufacturers prosper and grow. Alliance members share services, including advocacy, human resource consulting, and purchasing solutions.
