  1. Serve as a statewide voice to facilitate developing a strong skilled workforce that has the basic needs taught in high school and advanced education that will allow manufactures to continue their development with in-house training and support.
  • Work with educators to formulate guidelines and criteria that are required to educate students and workers for the changing manufacturing environment.
  • Work with educators to align curriculum with industry need within comprehensive high schools, career & technical high schools, and post-secondary educational institutions.
  1. Educate students, parents, teachers and administrators by re-introducing them to today’s manufacturing environment.
  • Make educators aware of the skills that all manufactures feel is necessary to enter the current manufacturing workforce.
  • Facilitate meetings, face-to-face dialogue, and multi-media presentations to show parents and educators the benefits of obtaining a manufacturing education.
  • Encourage effective work-based learning programs that will provide the next generation workforce with vital experiential learning.
  • Showcase the future of advance manufacturing that currently exists in New York and throughout the country.
  1. Educate state leaders, the state legislature and various state agencies by re-introducing them to today’s manufacturing environment.
  • Make state leaders and the members of the legislature aware of the skills that manufactures feel are necessary to enter the current manufacturing workforce.
  • Facilitate meetings, face-to-face dialogue, and multi-media presentations to show state leaders and legislators the benefits of obtaining a manufacturing education.
  • Advocate for the creation of effective internship, apprenticeship, job training and placement programs that will provide for the training of tomorrow’s workforce.
